  • Everyone is eligible except Lunkwill Labs and GarageGames employees
  • Robots may be created by either individuals or groups
  • Each individual or group is limited to one entry
  • Robots will not be made publicly available unless explicit permission is given
  • By default, only information from name and author commands is published
  • Robots may attempt to coordinate with each other, but there will be no official teams
  • Code from sample robots may be used, but largely unmodified sample robots may not be entered
  • Code from other existing robots may only be used with the original author's permission
  • Robots may not be scrambled (this was a tool from older versions of RB)
  • Violations of these rules are subject to the judgment of Lunkwill Labs

Tournament Format
This is a one-on-one Swiss style tournament. The number of rounds will be determined by the number of entries. All robots will compete in every round. The tournament ends when there is only one undefeated robot.
  • Pairings for the first round are random
  • A match consisting of 501 games determines the winner of each pairing. Match winners receive 1 point
  • After the first round, robots with similar win points are paired
  • No robot is paired with the same opponent twice
  • Final places are determined by the number of match wins. Ties are resolved by summed match scores
  • The sample robot “target.prg” may be added to create an even number of contest entrants
