Well, he performs like you said. He pounds my bots in one on one, and loses to them in big battles. It seemed he was colliding a lot, and that was a big problem in the bigger battles. In a match with 11 bots, he had an average of 7.7 collisions with robots per game, and the average among all bots was 4.3. Plus, the median was 3.7, so beast was colliding enough to skew the results.
I thought the problem might be the colliding section. It just worries about shooting who you collided with, not getting away from them. I was thinking the former works better in one on one and the latter works better in big battles (which gives me ideas for my bots that do well in big battles but stink one on one). On the other hand, I changed that "/1'" in the dead section to a "/2," and his collisions went way down. This didn't affect his one on one performance significantly, but raised him from 10th to 7th in 11 robot battles, although he's still losing to my random bot.
