Robotbattle.com is the victim of domain name abuse by spammers in Korea. Email is being sent to thousands of people with a bogus email address of sdf123sd@robotbattle.com (the user name will likely change). This spam is not from Lunkwill Labs and has nothing to do with RobotBattle.

It is unfortunately an uphill struggle to get this type of abuse stopped. I have sent complaints to the company being advertised and ISPs in Korea, but this will not likely have an effect.

Spammers really do boil my blood. angry.gif I kept my inbox spam free for almost 3 years, to find it covered in spam a few days ago. These people should be locked away.

It *really* gets on my nerves also. Not only is it annoying for the people being spammed (which is the end I am normally on), but in this case I am also getting thousands of bounced emails from all of the invalid email addressed being spammed.

I've had to add a filter that discards email to any address that I have not explicit setup. Previously I used to accept email sent to any @robotbattle.com address.

Ive got a uni account which should be spam safe but since i got a position of authority in a society ive had tons of spam.

Surely this is against some human rights laws or something. cry.gif

I installed Spamihilator a few weeks ago. Before that I got some one to six spam messages per a day but since the installation only few spams have come through. It's a feature-rich free program whose functionality can be even more extended with plugins, which I recommend you to download... It's got a learning filter so the more spam you receive the better it comes in filtering it, if you just teach it every now and then. Also the spam messages aren't deleted right away but put to the program's recycle bin from where you can save the important messages if they are accidently filtered out. The installation was also very easy, it configured my Opera's M2 client with no trouble.

There are also other filters like SpamAssassin but I have no experience on them. The basic method is anyway that the filter program works as a proxy between your mail client and the mail server, just like those pop-up blocker programs are installed as a proxy between your browser and the web.

1: Communication usually fails, except by accident.
1.1: If communication can fail, it will.
1.2: If communication cannot fail, it still most usually fails.
1.3: If communication seems to succeed in the intended way, there's a misunderstanding.
1.4: If you are content with your message, communication certainly fails.

I'd prefer not to have to use a spam filter. I will probabily get a new e-mail address soon.
My new e-mail client, Mozilla Thunderbird, has built in spam filters.
