A galiant attempt at the "All Knowing" robot |
|
Description |
Well folks, here he is. I mulled over him long enough and concluded that i simply don't have the time to work on it. To be honest, I'm not sure where I even left off. Once my wife sent himj too me I downloaded some of the robots he should be able to identify, but was unable toproduce any results. I may have to wait until I get back home to figure that out.
Omni has two modes: OMNIRECORD and OMNIIDENTIFY.
OMNIRECORD records the target robots movement and performance signature to the Inspector, and it's up to you to extract it and place it at the end of the robot in the manner shown. Just remember, each signature is broken into three(3) lines, or chunks of data, that are later assembled.
OMNIIDENTIFY does just that, it attempts to identify the target robot by comparing its signature to the already recorded signatures at the end of the code.
I'd like to point out that Ichabod was right on the money about the identification being very specialized for that robot being recorded.
Which leads me to the other stuff. There is a ton of event data that Omni records on each turn. In fact, he keeps track of pretty much every event that takes place each turn during a match. He can also, with a small degree of accuracy classify a robot as Wall, Corner, etc.
Have fun. I'll try to answer questions. |
