I hope I don't get draw against El Habenero in a dogfight. Kapsawa won! w00t.gif Then I realised that I had the arena as 600 * 600, rather than 500 * 500. Re-run, now El Habenero wins. angry.gif

Sounds like they are pretty closely matched. It should be an interesting competition.

How about 400x400? (in my mind that's "standard" dogfight)

As the arena shrinks, El Habenero outperforms Kapsawa more comprehensively. It also shows some known glitches in my design (which I'd ignored as insignificant) to be more serious than I'd forseen.

I'll probally wait until after the contest has finished to upload my robot (and maybe a refined version also). It basically tries to stay out of trouble, by reversing from pings and only taking short-range shots, until it's one of the last two survivors. Then enters a fairly standard wall-bot mode (slides around the edges, aiming across the arena). Hopefully many opponents will struggle against wallbots for the dogfight; it works well for 4-bot free-for-all and hopefully, although less certainly, for the AILO.

Well, your bot did better then mine, i did a match of 20000, El Habenero won every one.
Also, i had to copy the text from El Habenero to a note pad so it would work, don't no y though.?
