Increased by one when a call to scan detects a wall. This variable triggers the section registered by the regdtcwall command to handle wall detection events. Detection indicators are mutually exclusive. When _dtcwall is greater than zero all other detection variables will be zero.
This variable is decreased by one automatically when the wall detection event handler completes. The _dtcwall variable can also be manually reset to zero with the clear command. If no section has been registered to handle wall detection events and the clear command is not used, _dtcwall will continue to increase until a different obstacle type is detected.
When a robot detects a wall the detection variables _dtcbearing, _dtcenergy, _dtcheading, _dtcid, and _dtcteamid contain additional information.
